Sarah from Scotatto dropped into the store the other day and left me with these beautiful goodies. Sarah works in a local studio and makes all her pieces out of old and new scraps of leather. Just beautiful...

I came across these beautiful pieces of work by an artist named Holly Farrell. She currently has them at the Chase Gallery in Boston. I just fell in love with them as soon as I saw them. They were in Frankie magazine and I thought they were real life photographs. She is an amazing artist, I think I might start saving for a piece for myself.

Dreaming of Paris.....

This picture reminds me of me in Paris......I just wish I was still there. Why does it take so long to get motivated after such a beautiful holiday. I have lots of photos of our trip which I will put up when I get myself back together. Mr Owl

I have one little owl left at my store in Carlton. He is hand made and very adorable. I'm also getting some more crocheted owls in soon, they seem to be very popular at the moment. I will be going overseas in the next few weeks to get some inspiration for new things so my online store will be closing down for a little while. But please come and visit 1001 things for baby in Carlton, it will still be open.

The two of us

This is one of my very favourite photos of Chloe and I taken in New Zealand. I just think it tells so much about the two of us. I just look at it and smile and sometimes it brings a tear to my eye. She is my everything.

Have you met harry?

This is a classic favourite of ours, Harry will do anything to avoid having a bath, it's his least favourite thing to do because he is just going to get dirty all over again. It has been enjoyed by children of all ages for many years and the illustrations are just gorgeous.

Little kitty!

These adorable little kitty singlets made by the girls at alex and charli are just soooo sweet. Inspired by vintage fabric and old fashioned pom poms they look so cute on a little one. We have NEW alex and charli arriving in the coming months, so keep a look out.

Vintage blocks

These gorgeous vintage blocks have been made by the lovely Danni from Red Wagon. Each block is covered in vintage pictures for either a boy or girl. They make a lovely display in a nursery. They are all unique and can be bought in my store.

It's raining......

I did some shelf re- arranging over the long weekend. It was so nice to get some rain, Chloe and I just stayed in and kept warm. I can never sit still for to long though so the house got re-decorated. I found some old toys I had put away in storage so Chloe spent most of the weekend playing with them and I played interior decorator.

Beautiful girl

I came across this photo from Chloe's birthday the other day and had to post it on my blog. It looks like we are living in the sixties! Too funny! She just loved her strawberry shortcake house I got her and the cowgirl boots have become a fave.

Paper dollies

I have just added some new bits and pieces to my store, so please take a look. These little paper dollies are a new addition, they are so old school and come with about 30 different outfits. Check out the noddy key rings to, I only have a limited number of them. Thanks for looking!

We love this!

My little girl is so lucky she has inherited all these beautiful toys, pictures, dolls and lots of trinkets from the past. This little hills hoist was my Nana's and Chloe loves hanging all her dolls clothes on it. My Nana was a window dresser and this miniature hoist was used in one of the displays for McEwans when the first Hills Hoist was released. Its very special to us!

Pigtail kits

Pigtail kits from dumpling dynasty have finally arrived and we are in love with them. My daughter has turned into the little hairdresser and managed to tie every bobble from the kit into my hair. It is an adorable gift and something you would keep forever, all put together in a gorgeous little tin box.

Miss Ruby May doll

This gorgeous hand made doll has just been added to the little poppy tree. She is made from vintage inspired fabrics and needs someone to take her home. I will be adding some new things during the next week - look out for retro kids kitchen utensils, pigtail kits, more rosie flo books and some cute little belle and boo badges.

Chalk 'n' Cheese

These gorgeous dresses have just arrived in store. Made and designed in Australia by the very talented Tracy from Chalk 'n' Cheese. This one is a favourite of mine and my daughters, she won't take it off. If anyone is interested please contact me via email, otherwise come and visit 430 Rathdowne St, North Carlton as we have a few there.

Vintage toys

I have just added some cute little hanging toys to my store. They are all made with re-produced vintage fabric and have a chenille backing, you can choose from hearts, stars, boys or girls. They would be great to hang on a pram or a door handle for decoration or just cuddle up to one.

Crochet ponchos

My beautiful mum has been working away with her crochet needles, making these gorgeous ponchos for my shop. They have been very popular so I will be putting a few up on the little poppy tree shop in the coming weeks. I also have some other new pieces coming in early March - look out for dumpling dynasty pigtail and writing sets, belle and boo badges and some old style ladybird scrapbooks and lunch packs, just to name a few.

A true friend is the best possession

This is for my beautiful friend Justine and her husband David who are lucky to be with us today. They lost everything in the Kinglake fires and I'm just so thankful that they are here to tell the tale. My love and thoughts are with everyone who has lost family and loved ones.

Chloe's room

Chloe and I have been having fun this weekend re-decorating. My older sister finally got a new bedroom suite YEH! so we got her old one. It fits perfectly in Chloe's room right under her window. Also, I have added a few more pieces to my store on the weekend - please take a look.

Vintage babushka doll

I'm in love with this beautiful mumma babushka doll made by the very talented Morgan Wills. She is made from vintage fabric and recycled soft wool. She comes with a little baby babushka rattle in her pouch. She is available for sale on my online store, I will be adding others during the week, I just need to decide which one I will be keeping for myself!

This is 'honey', our little bunny that Santa bought us. She is the cutest little thing and already house trained, the perfect pet! I hope you all had a lovely break, now back into the swing of things - I will be putting some new pieces on the website this week, so look out!
